Annual Hydrant and Flushing Maintenance Program

PWSD#2 of Andrew County will begin this week switching our current water treatment method to free chlorine as part of our annual hydrant maintenance program.  A slight chlorine taste and odor may be detected.  This is normal and not a cause for concern.  Our employees will be flushing hydrants which may result in some temporary discoloration and reduced pressure in your neighborhood.  Again, this is normal and temporary.  The treatment change and hydrant flushing will continue through November.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 816-378-3395.
